Bespoke kitchen in Kirton, Suffolk

W
hen our customers Mark and Karen Shelley approached us to design and create a bespoke kitchen for their Suffolk home in the village of Kirton, they had clear ideas of what they wanted.

It needed to be a kitchen that would act as a really social space – perfect for entertaining family and friends throughout the year.

We set about designing a bespoke kitchen that would fully complement the light and airy room, which included bi-folding doors leading out onto decking.

A kitchen for all seasons – a place to entertain on warm Suffolk summer evenings, then a cosy refuge to hunker down in during winter months.

The design and eventual build incorporated a range of elements that met the couple’s individual brief.

As such, we successfully maintained the feeling of space, yet provided plenty of functional storage for unwanted clutter, an essential factor in any well-designed kitchen.

Similarly, the choice of finish for the kitchen, a light blue Farrow & Ball paint provided a pleasing contrast to the naturally warm tones of the handmade cabinetry made from European oak.

After careful discussion, the choice of high-quality stainless steel appliances by Siemens and a solid worktop constructed from polished black Angola granite all added to the desired effect.

Once installed, the handmade kitchen instantly oozed just the right levels of exclusivity combined with the welcoming feel Mark and Karen wanted.
